Portfolio Procurement has been engaged by our leading London based client to recruit for a Food Category Manager.

You will manage and develop a specific range of categories to improve price, performance, and availability of your assigned categories. The role requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and Excel proficiency to drive supplier performance and product availability.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Buyer from a food business.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programmes especially Excel.

Responsibilities

• To assist in product planning.
• Negotiating of pricing and promotional activities.
• Participate in supplier and category reviews, contributing insights on trends, seasonal demand, and product performance.
• Build relationships with your suppliers, to ensure the best product offering for customers.
• Monitor supplier performance to ensure that all KPI's are being adhered to
• Monitor stock levels to ensure product availability
