Seven Search and Selection Ltd is recruiting a Buyer for a high-profile food retailer in the UK. The role focuses on developing trading strategies, supplier negotiations and delivering margin growth in a fast-paced, customer-driven environment.

You will work 2 days a week in the office with remaining time from home, enjoy flexible hours and a strong bonus package. This is a clear path for progression in UK food wholesale.

Qualifications

• Hands-on buying experience in UK food retail or wholesale.
• Proven ability to negotiate with suppliers and drive value.
• Strong data analysis to inform trading decisions.
• Developing and implementing trading strategies and category visions.
• Excellent planning, organization and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and review a trading strategy for a food product range.
• Create and deliver the category vision to grow cash sales and margin.
• Source new suppliers and products to excite customers and increase value.
• Develop and manage a cost reduction strategy to improve margin.
• Use data/insights with stakeholders to deliver long-term growth.
• Demonstrate commerciality, customer focus, and relationship-building across teams.
