Job summary

Prospects is seeking an ambitious Financial Controller for a newly created leadership role based in Liverpool, reporting into the finance director. Initially responsible for financial control across two entities and partnering with manufacturing and commercial teams to drive performance.

The role offers exposure to a state-of-the-art greenfield facility, with career progression as the business grows and potential broader scope.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA.
• Strong technical accounting skills.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with inventory, standard costing and KPIs.

Responsibilities

• Lead financial control across two operating entities.
• Produce monthly management accounts and reporting packs.
• Deliver budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management.
• Ensure robust financial controls, governance and compliance.
• Partner with operational and commercial teams to improve performance.
• Provide analysis of manufacturing costs, margins and KPIs.
• Support inventory management, stock control and working capital optimisation.
• Drive continuous improvement across finance processes, systems and reporting.
• Manage the year-end audit and statutory reporting.
• Develop and mentor members of the finance team.
• Support strategic projects, business integration and future acquisitions or site expansions.
