Job summary

Inclusive Consulting is assisting a manufacturing SME with a Financial Controller role in Barnsley. This is a rare chance to lead the finance function, shape strategic direction and partner with the MD on commercial outcomes.

You will manage monthly accounts, forecasts and budgets, drive governance and controls, and collaborate with operations to enhance margins and performance. A strong leadership style and demonstrated success in finance leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified (or equivalent).
• Strong management accounting, budgeting and forecasting experience.
• Commercially minded with the ability to influence and challenge senior stakeholders.
• Experience leading and developing finance teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the finance function and provide high-quality financial insight and support to the Managing Director and senior leadership team.
• Produce monthly management accounts, forecasts, budgets and performance analysis to support business growth and profitability.
• Drive financial controls, governance and reporting processes across the organisation.
• Partner with operational and commercial teams to improve performance, margins and business decision-making.
• Lead, develop and support an experienced finance team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture.
• Play a key role in strategic projects, investment decisions and continuous improvement initiatives across the business.
