Job summary

AFR Consulting, a highly innovative manufacturing business with global reach, is expanding its finance leadership with a Financial Controller role. You will work closely with the site General Manager, oversee budgeting, reporting, and cost control across operations.

In this standalone role, you’ll manage monthly management accounts, balance sheets (including stock and WIP), inter-company transactions, and drive continuous improvement through ERP and Excel data analysis to support decisions at

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with manufacturing cost and budgeting experience.
• Strong data analysis and Excel skills for operational decisions.
• Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts and insightful performance reports.
• Work with SMT to improve budgeting, drive KPI analysis and re-forecasting.
• Oversee monthly balance sheet prep and reconciliation (stock and WIP).
• Submit group financial reporting, including inter-company transactions.
• Maintain robust controls and processes to minimise risk.
• Develop costing data and COGS analysis.
• Analyze manufacturing variances, stock valuation and processes.
• Coordinate with SMT for annual budget and quarterly forecasts.
• Support Planning & Production with timely performance reporting.
• Oversee sales and purchase ledger activities.
• Liaise with external accountant for year-end statutory accounts.
• Support ERP development and continuous improvement.
