Job summary

Beazley Group is seeking a Finance Business Partner for Underwriting for a 6-month fixed-term contract. The role reports to the Lead Business Partner and focuses on delivering financial insight and advisory support to underwriting teams, ensuring IFRS 4 and IFRS 17 alignment and robust P&L management.

You will build strong relationships, provide data-led insights, and support strategic initiatives while working with Finance Performance, Group Actuarial, and other stakeholders across Beazley.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with insurance market exposure.
• Experience partnering with underwriting/finance, strong controls.
• Ability to translate financial data into actionable insights.

Responsibilities

• Be the Finance relationship manager for underwriting teams.
• Understand reinsurance structures with Ceded Re.
• Support budgeting and forecasting under IFRS 4 and IFRS 17.
• Own P&L sign-off for underwriting teams and explain drivers.
• Deliver underwriting MI with commentary for business decisions.
• Review front office cost reports with efficiency and carbon lens.
• Own Premium Forecasting with Group Actuarial coordination.
• Support audit deliverables for underwriting teams.
• Contribute to profitability analyses for internal coverholders.
