Job summary

Beazley Management Limited is seeking a Finance Business Partner for Underwriting on a 6-month fixed-term contract. You will partner with underwriting teams to provide financial insight, budgets and forecasts, and sign off P&Ls.

Strong accounting qualifications and insurance market experience are essential to advise on proposals and strategic initiatives. You will collaborate with finance leadership, Group Actuarial, and other stakeholders to deliver MI, profitability analysis, and risk

Qualifications

Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA).
Experience of the insurance market, preferably Lloyd’s.
Experience of business partnering within complex insurance organisations and knowledge of accounting policies adopted.

Responsibilities

Be the Finance relationship manager for underwriting teams and partner other business areas.
Understand changes to reinsurance structures with Ceded Re and communicate financial impact.
Support budgets and forecast cycles under IFRS 4 and IFRS 17.
Own underwriting P&Ls and explain movements in planning, forecasting and actuals.
Review underwriting MI and provide commentary to stakeholders.
Work with Global Expense on front-office costs review and efficiency and carbon footprint.
Own Premium Forecasting process and coordinate quarterly reserve release with Group Actuarial.
Support audit deliverables for underwriting team testing.
Assist in bi-annual profitability analyses for internal coverholders.
