Job summary

AWE is seeking a Finance Business Partner Manager (Inside IR35) for a 12-month hybrid contract based in Reading. You will lead budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting and provide insights to senior stakeholders.

You will mentor the Finance Business Partnering team, build relationships across Finance and Commercial, monitor performance, and ensure robust governance and timely financial messages to senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Strong financial analysis and numerical skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement.
• Forward-facing business partner with budgeting and forecasting experience.
• Experience producing accurate financial reports by deadlines.
• Ability to review and support business cases.
• Knowledge of financial governance and budget control.
• Experience mentoring and developing teams.
• Ability to manage resources and competing priorities.
• Strong relationships across Finance, Commercial and senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting activities.
• Provide clear financial insight and advice to senior stakeholders and SLT.
• Build strong relationships across the business and develop a deep understanding of operational priorities.
• Partner closely with Commercial teams to support financial decision-making.
• Manage financial change control, ensuring impacts are understood and reported.
• Lead, support and mentor the Finance Business Partnering team.
• Monitor financial performance, identifying risks, opportunities and areas for improvement.
• Produce accurate reporting and communicate key financial messages up to senior leadership.
