Job summary

Network Rail in Glasgow invites applications for a Finance Business Partnering role based in our Glasgow office. You will support business case development, efficiency forecasting, governance and benefits realisation, helping shape strategy and deliver long-term value across Scotland's Railway.

Working with senior stakeholders, you’ll drive improvements, manage budgets and forecasts, and provide robust analysis to challenge assumptions and inform decision-making.

Qualifications

• Membership of, or progress towards, CIMA/ACCA/ICAEW, or equivalent experience.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills at all levels.
• Experience in a complex financial environment with risk management and forward planning.
• Ability to interpret budgets, forecasts and actual performance for governance.
• Strong evaluation and decision-making skills with tolerance for ambiguity.
• Technical financial and accounting knowledge in a complex commercial environment.

Responsibilities

• Support business case development and efficiency forecasting from concept to delivery.
• Assist with business case governance, standards and assurance.
• Identify efficiency and cost improvement opportunities with robust analysis.
• Support cross-industry funding opportunities and benefits capture.
• Collaborate with Technical Authority to quantify and agree all benefits.
• Support CP7 efficiency reporting, including progress, forecasts, risks and opportunities.
• Undertake cross-regional benchmarking and share best practice.
• Assist Senior Finance Business Partners with analysis and stakeholder challenge.
• Track benefits to ensure they are realised and sustained.
• Help embed a centre of excellence with governance and consistency.
• Contribute to five-year business plan and future efficiency strategy.
