They support large, complex delivery areas, challenge budgets, and influence senior decision-makers. The role includes coaching, horizon scanning, and building strong stakeholder relationships across the organisation.

Qualifications

• CCAB or equivalent fully qualified chartered accountant.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build strong stakeholder relationships.
• Strong analytical skills with ability to translate data into insights.
• Excellent IT/Excel, oral and written communication skills.
• Experience in large, public sector or not-for-profit organisations.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist financial advice to IT and business partners on planning, processes and budget setting.
• Deliver clear financial information with recommendations using data and analytics tools.
• Support development and implementation of credible financial plans aligned to strategy.
• Attend and influence senior boards and committees with robust financial challenge.
• Engage early in solution development and support business cases with financial insight.
• Drive evidence-based decisions and coach teams to improve financial capability.
• Perform horizon scanning to identify issues and develop viable financial solutions.
• Manage team members and develop leadership skills across teams.
• Drive cultural change to enhance financial leadership and accountability.
• Collaborate to improve financial information, processes and assurance; understand ERP systems.
