Job summary

Durham University is seeking a Finance Business Partner (Faculties) to provide high-quality strategic financial support and challenge to senior leaders across the University. The role will influence planning, investment appraisal, and scenario modelling, ensuring resources are optimally used and aligned with institutional priorities.

The role sits within Strategic Finance, with travel to other sites as required and a base at Boldon House, near Durham.

Qualifications

• Professionally qualified accountant or significant equivalent experience in a senior finance role.
• Ability to influence service delivery, events and activities within the organisation.
• Experience in providing specialist advice to diverse customers and colleagues, including senior staff.
• Experience in internal/external networking to share good practice and positively influence reputation.
• Experience implementing policies and supporting service improvements.
• Extensive business partnering experience influencing senior stakeholders.
• Extensive budgeting and forecasting experience turning data into insights.
