Job summary

Matchtech seeks a Finance Manager for a permanent role in the UK finance team. Reporting to the UK Financial Controller, you will support accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls and effective business partnering across the organisation.

The role covers treasury activities, balance sheet reconciliations, month-end reporting, vendor management via SAP Ariba and involvement in audits and tax submissions. Strong Excel skills and ACCA/CIMA are required.

Qualifications

• ACCA or CIMA qualified
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and experience in a fast-paced business environment
• Experience in financial reporting, treasury management, balance sheet reconciliations and audit support
• Proficiency in accounting software; SAP would be advantageous
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and organisational abilities
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively

Responsibilities

• Manage treasury activities, including daily bank account reviews and regular bank reconciliations
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations, financial analysis, commentary and intercompany reconciliations
• Support month-end reporting and other financial deliverables for the UK Financial Controller
• Oversee vendor management activities, including onboarding and validation of suppliers through SAP Ariba
• Manage monthly and ad-hoc recharges for salaries, expenses and other costs
• Support internal and external audits, including ownership of closing internal audit findings where required
• Assist with statutory tax submissions, corporate queries and other financial returns
• Prepare finance sections of operational performance reporting for Executive Board review
• You will be expected to prioritise workloads effectively, contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and support process efficiency across the finance function
