Job summary

Uppingham School invites an experienced Finance Manager to lead the operational finance function, overseeing a team of six and delivering accurate month-end and year-end reporting, management accounts, balance-sheet reconciliations, budgeting and forecasting.

You will partner with the Financial Controller, CFO and budget holders to challenge and improve financial performance, while contributing to a major finance transformation programme.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant or actively studying ACA/ACCA/CIMA.
• Proven experience in month-end and year-end close, management accounts, and reconciliations.
• Strong Excel and finance-system skills; ability to lead a small team.

Responsibilities

• Lead the operational finance function and a six-person team.
• Deliver accurate month-end and year-end reporting.
• Oversee budgeting and forecasting, including balance-sheet reconciliations.
• Support audit processes and statutory reporting.
