Job summary

Uppingham School is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to lead the operational finance function across the School. This role manages a team of six and oversees month-end and year-end reporting, management accounts, balance-sheet reconciliations, budgeting and forecasting, and financial controls.

You will partner with the CFO and budget holders to drive financial performance. The role offers involvement in a significant finance transformation programme and opportunities to shape finance

Qualifications

Qualified accountant or actively studying ACA/ACCA/CIMA.
Strong experience with month-end close, year-end close and management accounts.
Experience with budgeting, forecasting, financial controls and audits.

Responsibilities

Lead month-end and year-end close processes and prepare reports.
Oversee management accounts, balance-sheet reconciliations and financial controls.
Drive budgeting, forecasting and financial planning with budget holders.
