Job summary

Morgan McKinley is seeking a commercially minded FP&A professional to support a portfolio of strategic projects. Working with senior finance leaders, you will provide insight, challenge and decision support across investment programmes and transformation initiatives.

You'll lead budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling, build business cases, and partner with project managers and executives to ensure robust assumptions and commercially sound decisions.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent.
• Proven FP&A, commercial or strategic finance experience.
• Strong financial modelling and investment appraisal skills.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, reporting and variance analysis.
• Led strategic projects, transformation programmes or large changes.
• Advanced Excel with robust financial modelling ability.
• Knowledge of planning and reporting systems (e.g., Adaptive Planning) is advantageous.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management to influence senior decisions.

Responsibilities

• Support and lead financial planning, forecasting and budgeting for strategic projects and investment programmes.
• Develop and maintain detailed financial models to support business cases, investment appraisals and strategic decision-making.
• Analyse project costs, financial performance, benefits realisation and associated risks.
• Produce insightful management reporting, dashboards and performance commentary for senior stakeholders.
• Partner with project managers, operational leaders and executives to ensure financial assumptions are robust and commercially sound.
• Provide financial support on tenders, commercial opportunities and service transformation initiatives.
• Monitor project governance, funding utilisation and post-implementation reviews.
• Collaborate with Finance, Commercial and Operational teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and project accounting.
• Drive improvements to financial planning processes, reporting tools and systems.
• Act as a trusted business partner, translating complex financial information into meaningful commercial insight.
