Job summary

Artis Recruitment client seeks an experienced Finance Manager for a manufacturing business on the outskirts of Cardiff. You will combine strong technical accounting with commercial business partnering to support finance and the operation teams.

You'll lead cost accounting, budgeting, forecasting and month-end reporting, and partner with production to improve cost control and financial performance. Qualified or nearly qualified accountants encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Strong cost accounting experience
• Excellent commercial and business partnering skills
• Ability to translate financial information into actionable insights
• Experience in manufacturing environment preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage day-to-day finance activities
• Own cost accounting including product costing and variances
• Provide analysis of production costs, margins and performance
• Maintain fixed asset register and capex reporting
• Support budgeting, forecasting and month-end processes
• Prepare management accounts and reports
• Analyze variances against budget/forecast and identify drivers
• Partner with operational managers to improve cost control and productivity
• Support capital investment proposals and monitor expenditure
• Identify process improvements and controls
