Job summary

Airbus, in partnership with Guidant Global, is seeking a commercially minded Financial Controller to support FMRE and EHS activities across the UK, with a focus on the expanding Belfast operation. Based in Broughton, Chester, you will work 35 hours per week and report into the finance function.

You will provide financial insight, challenge business decisions, and help deliver key financial objectives across a diverse portfolio of projects, coordinating with international teams.

Qualifications

• Experience within Finance, Accounting, Financial Control or Business Controlling.
• Strong analytical skills with the confidence to challenge assumptions and influence decision-making.
• Ability to interpret large volumes of financial data and translate findings into actionable insights.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to build relationships across diverse teams.
• Experience working to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• A proactive, delivery-focused mindset with strong attention to detail.
• The flexibility to switch between strategic thinking and detailed financial analysis.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within international teams.
• Fluency in English; French and/or German language skills would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Act as the finance representative and key link between the business and the wider finance function.
• Deliver financial reporting across OPEX and CAPEX activities.
• Provide detailed cost analysis, identifying trends, risks, opportunities and performance gaps.
• Support planning activities across the full FMRE and EHS cost base, including forecasts and operational planning.
• Develop financial models to support facilities, environmental and capital investment projects.
• Monitor and challenge expenditure, ensuring procured services and utilities remain aligned to budget and business targets.
• Support strategic business initiatives, including integration and transformation programmes.
• Ensure compliance with internal financial processes, controls and governance requirements.
• Drive performance improvement through meaningful financial insight and recommendations.
• Coordinate corrective actions and mitigation plans where required to support effective decision-making.
• Produce timely, accurate and valuable financial reporting that supports operational and leadership teams.
