Job summary

Coinbase is seeking an Analyst, Business Controller to join the Accounting team's Business Controllers group. You’ll act as Finance’s One-DRI for product launches with financial impact, coordinating accounting, tax, treasury, and operations to maintain audit readiness and regulatory compliance.

You’ll scope and implement financial controls, document fund flows and accounting decisions, and partner with IT to automate processes as Coinbase expands its product portfolio.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in finance, accounting, or controllership, with crypto/fintech exposure.
• CPA certification (or in progress) with strong technical accounting knowledge.
• Proven cross-functional coordination across accounting, tax, legal, treasury, and operations.
• Experience scoping and implementing financial controls for new processes and risk management.
• Responsible use of AI with human oversight to improve workflow efficiency and quality.

Responsibilities

• Partner with finance, business leads, and cross-functional teams to evaluate new trade strategies and coordinate implementation.
• Serve as trusted advisor to the business, reducing friction in product launches and coordinating stakeholders.
• Produce documentation of fund flows, risks, and accounting decisions, with regular executive updates.
• Scope and implement financial controls to ensure audit readiness and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with vendors and IT to automate processes and scale workflows for growth.
