Job summary

Smiths Detection is seeking a Finance Analyst to support a growing finance function during a period of transformation. You will contribute to financial reporting, budgeting, and KPI development, while working with senior stakeholders to enhance group reporting processes.

This role offers exposure to finance transformation projects, development opportunities, and a clear path to senior analyst or business partnering roles within a global security technology business.

Qualifications

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification.
• 2–3 years’ experience in a commercial finance role.
• Experience in a Finance Analyst or Management Accountant role.
• Strong analytical and Excel skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting.
• Analyse financial performance and provide insight into trends and variances.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling.
• Support month-end processes, reconciliations and financial controls.
• Produce management information and KPI reporting.
• Contribute to the development of Group Reporting processes.
• Support finance transformation and process improvement initiatives.
• Build effective relationships with finance and operational stakeholders.
