Job summary

DAC Beachcroft is seeking an experienced Enterprise Data Architect in Birmingham to lead target-state data architecture and enable AI-driven innovation. You will define data standards, connect core systems, and drive modern integration patterns across the organisation.

You will collaborate with CTO, Enterprise Architecture, and Head of Data & Analytics to shape scalable data platforms, ensure regulatory compliance, and guide major transformation initiatives.

Qualifications

• Proven experience designing and delivering enterprise data architectures in complex or regulated environments.
• Strong understanding of modern data platform patterns (data warehouses, data lakes, data lakehouses, data mesh).
• Experience architecting solutions for operational reporting and advanced analytics including AI/ML workloads.
• Knowledge of Azure-based data platforms and cloud architecture principles.
• Familiarity with MDM frameworks and technologies.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain the enterprise data architecture across conceptual, logical, and physical models.
• Design integration strategies connecting case management, finance, CRM, and analytics systems.
• Drive API-led and event-driven integration patterns.
• Evaluate technologies for data platform (data warehouses, lakehouses, MDM, APIs).
• Design data foundations to support AI/ML initiatives with high-quality data.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering, Governance, and Analytics teams on standards.
• Define enterprise data security and access architecture with governance and security teams.
• Produce architecture roadmaps, standards, and documentation.
• Support major transformation programmes and vendor selections.
