Job summary

Guided Talent Limited is seeking an Engineering Buyer for a growing engineering manufacturer in Great Gransden. The role is hands-on and involves sourcing engineered components, raw materials, tooling and technical services across manufacturing projects.

You will interpret drawings, BOMs and specifications, negotiate pricing and terms, and monitor supplier performance. Collaboration with engineering, production and quality teams is essential to deliver on time and cost targets.

Qualifications

• Experience as Engineering/Technical/Manufacturing Buyer in engineering/manufacturing.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes, materials and supply chain principles.
• Experience reading engineering drawings, BOMs; ERP/MRP experience.

Responsibilities

• Source engineered components, raw materials, tooling and services across manufacturing projects.
• Obtain and evaluate supplier quotations; negotiate pricing, contracts and terms.
• Interpret drawings, specifications and BOMs to communicate requirements to suppliers.
• Monitor supplier performance across cost, quality and delivery; resolve issues.
• Maintain procurement data: pricing, lead times, supplier performance and inventory data; seek cost savings.
• Support New Product Introduction (NPI) projects and prototype materials sourcing.
