We have an exciting opportunity for a Strategic Energy Innovation Analyst. The role supports the Energised Futures team by monitoring the evolving energy innovation landscape, identifying market trends, gaps, and opportunities to drive progress. A key responsibility involves developing innovative business models to capitalize on these insights and contribute to strategic planning. The role also includes sourcing relevant grants, calls for proposals, and conferences to support current and future initiatives, aligning these activities with the team’s research strategy to promote sustainable energy solutions.

About the role:

• Monitor and analyze energy innovation trends, market shifts, and emerging technologies.
• Support strategy development with research, analysis, and recommendations on high-priority projects.
• Develop and propose innovative business models to commercialize energy opportunities.
• Identify and source funding and collaboration opportunities from regional, national, and European research grants and programs.
• Build and maintain relationships with regulatory bodies, industry experts, academic institutions, and innovation networks.
• Support market-shaping efforts by analyzing and influencing energy policies and market structures.
• Present insights and opportunities to ensure the organization remains at the forefront of energy innovation.

What we're looking for:

• Experience in the energy sector, focusing on innovation, technology development, or strategy.
• Proven track record in leading or contributing to strategic initiatives and successful project delivery.
• Ability to collaborate across teams, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.
• Hands-on experience with research funding mechanisms, including grants and subsidies within regional, national, and European programs (e.g., Horizon Europe, EU Innovation Fund).
• Experience developing innovative business models, including business case creation and go-to-market strategies.
• Deep knowledge of energy policy, regulation, and market structures at various levels.
