Job summary

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of manufacturing systems including ERP/MRP.
• Excellent Excel and MS Office skills.
• Proven experience purchasing electronic components and PCBAs.
• Strong commercial awareness with negotiation skills.
• Experience developing long-term supplier relationships.
• Experience delivering cost reduction and supplier improvement projects.
• Understanding of supplier quality processes and engineering change management.
• Knowledge of inventory management and supply chain planning.
• Ability to analyse data and make commercially sound decisions.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with assigned suppliers to ensure cost-effective supply.
• Manage end-to-end procurement process for allocated commodities.
• Lead negotiations on pricing, lead times, terms and contracts.
• Drive supplier performance through reviews and improvement actions.
• Collaborate with Planning to convert demand into an effective supply plan.
• Evaluate quotations to balance cost, quality and delivery.
• Lead value engineering and cost reduction initiatives across commodities.
• Identify and manage supply chain risks including sole sources and capacity.
• Manage ECNs and supplier-related changes to minimise disruption.
• Maintain accurate purchasing data in ERP with sourcing strategies.
