GORSE Academies Trust is seeking a Procurement Manager to lead end-to-end procurement across our multi academy trust, ensuring value for money and compliant purchasing in line with UK public procurement legislation. You will work closely with the CFO, Principals and central team Directors to develop procurement strategy, manage the trust-wide contract register and advise on major commercial agreements.

Formación

• Experience leading complex procurements end-to-end.
• Understanding of public sector procurement including frameworks, tendering and contract mobilisation.
• Strong grasp of relevant regulations (Procurement Act 2023, guidance) and governance.
• Commercially astute with supplier, contract and negotiation skills.
• Ability to build relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
• Highly organised and audit-ready.

Responsabilidades

• Lead compliant procurement processes for high value goods and services.
• Develop and deliver the trust’s procurement strategy embedding innovation, sustainability and social value.
• Manage and maintain the trust’s forward procurement pipeline.
• Oversee the trust-wide contract register, ensuring compliance and timely renewals.
• Provide expert commercial advice and training to staff involved in procurement.
• Undertake procurement assurance work including internal audits and annual reporting to trustees.
• Build effective relationships with suppliers and represent the trust in networks.
• Ensure all procurement activity meets legal, regulatory and internal governance standards.
