Job summary

AtkinsClarke, a leading logistics and transport specialist, is seeking a Divisional Financial Controller for the Heathrow-based UK division. You will own financial control, reporting and provide strategic commercial input to the leadership team.

The role requires qualified membership (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent) and a track record at Financial Controller level or above, with strong governance, stakeholder engagement and leadership skills. Heathrow locality preferred.

Qualifications

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
• Experience at Financial Controller level or above.
• Experience in logistics, transport or related sector advantageous.
• Strong financial control, reporting and compliance capability.
• Able to partner with senior operational leadership.
• Confident presenting to and influencing senior stakeholders.
• Strong leadership with experience developing finance teams.
• Hands-on with the ability to balance strategic and operational demands.
• Based locally to Heathrow with travel across the UK.

Responsibilities

• Lead financial control, reporting and month-end for the UK division.
• Partner with UK Managing Director on commercial decisions.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and financial planning cycles.
• Produce timely management information for senior stakeholders.
• Ensure robust controls, governance and compliance.
• Manage external audits and statutory reporting.
• Support cash flow, working capital and balance sheet management.
• Drive continuous improvement across finance systems and processes.
• Develop the finance team and build capability.
• Provide commercial insight for pricing, contracts and performance.
