Job summary

Morgan Stanley in Glasgow seeks a Director, Reference Data Sanctions Screening Professional to lead and enhance the sanctions screening program across reference data and transactions. The role combines business analysis, project management, and governance oversight within Global Financial Crimes.

The candidate will coordinate with CORDS, oversee data quality and platform changes, and drive data-driven initiatives to optimize alert volumes and controls in a regulated financial institution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required with 5–8+ years of sanctions compliance or risk management experience.
• Experience with sanctions screening platforms and list management.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day management and execution of the reference data sanctions screening program.
• Manage reference data screening projects from requirements through implementation.
• Coordinate maintenance activities for the screening platform including list updates and data feed monitoring.
• Monitor platform performance and data quality; escalate anomalies.
• Analyze data to support new products and governance decisions.
• Support regulatory examinations and internal audits with documentation.
