Job summary

The University of Sheffield IT Services is seeking a Digital Risk and Resilience Manager to lead governance, assurance and business continuity/disaster recovery (BC/DR) activities across the department, ensuring robust risk management and resilience. You will chair governance groups and act as a trusted second line assurance function for internal and external stakeholders.

• Governance, assurance and risk management experience in large organisations.
• Strong understanding of governance, risk and resilience frameworks.
• Proven ability to lead BC/DR planning, exercising and testing.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and continuous improvement of risk, resilience and assurance processes across IT Services.
• Provide second line assurance to senior stakeholders.
• Own risk and resilience across IT Services, including BC/DR planning and testing.
• Line manage the Business Continuity Lead and embed resilience across people, process and technology.
• Collaborate with data protection, planning and change teams to promote governance and risk awareness.
• Work with IT Services and wider University to embed best practice in ways of working.
