Zusammenfassung

Phoenix Primary School is seeking a Strategic Designated Safeguarding Lead to provide strategic oversight of safeguarding across the school, shaping safeguarding policies, culture and systems. You will oversee safeguarding information and data for vulnerable pupils, using insights to identify emerging concerns and coordinate appropriate support.

The role emphasizes collaboration, EBSA recognition, and ensuring pupils feel safe, supported and ready to learn within a caring community.

About this Role

At Phoenix Primary School, we are developing amore collaborative and coordinated approach to safeguarding, inclusion,attendance and family support, ensuring that our systems and ways of workingenable us to identify needs early and provide the right support at the righttime.

The Strategic Designated Safeguarding Leadwill play an important role in shaping and supporting this approach, providingstrategic oversight of safeguarding across the school and helping to ensurethat our culture, policies, practices and systems remain effective, consistentand responsive to the needs of our children and families.

The postholder will take a lead in overseeingsafeguarding information and data for our most vulnerable pupils, usinginsights from CPOMS alongside attendance, achievement, behaviour, inclusion,mental health and wellbeing information to help identify emerging concerns,understand barriers and inform appropriate support. This will includerecognising and responding to challenges such as emotionally based schoolavoidance (EBSA), working collaboratively with colleagues to help children feelsafe, supported and ready to learn.
