Job summary

University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Deputy Director of Estates and Facilities Management - Commercial and Compliance to lead the commercial, contractual and compliance agenda across a complex portfolio.

You will shape strategy, drive value and ensure high safety and quality standards in a major NHS estate. Reporting to the Director, you will oversee major contracts, governance, PFIs and performance metrics, while building strong supplier partnerships.

Qualifications

• Significant leadership experience in Estates and Facilities Management.
• Strong commercial, procurement and contract management expertise.
• Experience of compliance, governance, assurance and risk management.
• Excellent financial and performance management skills.
• The ability to influence, negotiate and build relationships at the highest levels.
• A passion for developing people, leading change and delivering continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead the commercial and contractual management of high-value estates and facilities services.
• Provide strategic leadership for compliance, assurance, governance and risk management.
• Drive value, efficiency and innovation across a broad portfolio of services.
• Shape the future use and development of the Trust's estate, property and commercial opportunities.
• Build strong partnerships with suppliers, system partners and external organisations.
• Deputise for the Director of Estates and Facilities.
