Job summary

Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Deputy Care Group Director to steer strategic and operational delivery across forensic, mental health, intellectual disability and community services.

The role requires senior leadership experience in a large public sector organisation, governance knowledge and the ability to influence across boundaries while managing high-stakes issues with sound judgement.

Qualifications

• Professional qualification or equivalent experience across health or social care to masters level.
• Management qualification or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership as a member of the Care Group senior leadership team.
• Translate strategic priorities into operational delivery.
• Maintain a strong focus on quality, patient safety, performance, workforce and financial management.
• Ensure services are safe, effective, inclusive and sustainable.
• Bring together operational, nursing, medical, psychological and AHP leadership.
• Create a culture that supports innovation, continuous improvement and high-quality care.
• Build relationships across professional and organisational boundaries with partners and communities.
• Help deliver the four pledges of the Making a Difference 2026-2029 Strategy.
