Job summary

Matchtech is seeking an I&FS Project Controller for a 12-month contract in the UK defence sector, based in Warton. The role focuses on controlling infrastructure and facility projects, monitoring progress, budgets and risks, and reporting to stakeholders.

The ideal candidate has extensive project control experience within defence, strong Excel skills, and the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams. This on-site role requires 3 days per week in the office.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a project professional, preferably in Defence & Security
• Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Experience with project risk assessment and mitigation strategies
• Proficiency in using project management tools and software

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage project progress, ensuring alignment with timelines and budgets
• Provide comprehensive project reporting and updates to stakeholders
• Coordinate with various teams to meet milestones
• Identify and mitigate risks associated with project delivery
• Maintain effective communication with project teams and external partners
• Facilitate project meetings and produce detailed minutes and action plans
• Utilise project management tools and software for tracking and reporting purposes
