Job summary

Rheinmetall BAE Systems Land (RBSL) in the UK is seeking a Finance Manager to lead the management accounting function and partner with senior operations and supply chain leaders. You will drive robust financial controls, contract compliance for defence programmes, and deliver strategic financial analysis to support decision-making on cost bases, stock, investments, and pricing.

Based in Telford with hybrid working (3 days in the office), you will line-manage the management accounting team,

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading a finance team and driving cross-functional improvements.
• Strong understanding of management accounting processes and month/quarter/year-end closures.
• Experience with defence sector requirements and complex contract accounting.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the management accounting team, ensuring clear objectives and performance reviews.
• Oversee stock valuation, inventory controls, and reconciliations across sites.
• Manage defence contract compliance and CAAS/MOD reporting requirements.
• Partner with cost centre managers to drive cost-saving opportunities and robust forecasting.
• Deliver timely variance analysis and management commentary for leadership.
