Munich Re Group is seeking a Business Data Analyst to join the Great Lakes Data & BI team in London. You will translate business priorities into detailed data requirements, map source-to-target data, and collaborate with data engineers to implement Databricks architectures and BI solutions.

A strong background in SQL, Azure Databricks, Power BI and ADO is essential. You will work with stakeholders across regions, ensure data quality and acceptance criteria, and support UAT while maintaining

Qualifications

• Professional experience in a (Business) Data Analyst role within the insurance industry.
• Intermediate to advanced SQL skills, with proven experience building data products in a modern data environment (preferably Azure Databricks and Power BI).
• Strong hands-on experience with Azure DevOps (ADO) for requirements and backlog management within an Agile delivery environment.
• Ability to quickly comprehend the functions and capabilities of existing, new and emerging technologies.
• Experience working with both Delegated Authority and Large Single Risk/Specialty stakeholders.
• Strong collaborator, able to work effectively within a close-knit team as well as across the wider organisation.
• Working appreciation of cloud computing platforms such as Azure Databricks and other Azure components.
• Proven ability to produce high-quality business and data requirements documentation.
• Proven experience acting as a business-to-data/technology translator.
• Outcome- and solution-driven mindset with ability to optimise processes.
• Comfortable operating in an Agile/Scrum delivery environment and with backlog refinement.
• Understanding of Data Governance principles (DAMA, DMBOK).

Responsabilités

• Elicit, clarify and document detailed data requirements with acceptance criteria.
• Produce source-to-target mappings, data definitions and transformation rules.
• Serve as technical liaison between Data & BI and IT for quicker value delivery.
• Partner with data engineers to map to Databricks Medallion Architecture.
• Own and maintain requirements in Azure DevOps with dependencies and data lineage.
• Support UAT and data quality validation against requirements.
• Collaborate across teams and regions to standardise processes.
