Job summary

Opus Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Data Architect for a London-based transformation, blending strategic and hands-on design. The role sits at the heart of the data strategy, shaping governance, modelling standards and the foundations for trusted enterprise data.

You will lead enterprise data architecture across multiple domains, drive MDM and Golden Record strategies, and steer the migration from Azure Synapse to Microsoft Fabric.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Data Architect in complex enterprise environments.
• Expertise in Master Data Management and Golden Record strategies.
• Strong knowledge of data governance, stewardship and data quality frameworks.
• Experience designing conceptual, logical and physical data models.
• Experience with enterprise data domains and domain-driven data architecture.
• Experience designing Gold Layer and semantic models for reporting/analytics.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric or equivalent architecture.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Define and own enterprise data architecture across multiple business domains.
• Lead design/implementation of MDM and Golden Record strategies.
• Establish data governance, stewardship and data quality frameworks.
• Design conceptual, logical and physical data models.
• Develop and optimise Gold Layer models for reporting and analytics.
• Create semantic models to support enterprise reporting and decision-making.
• Shape target architecture for migration from Azure Synapse to Microsoft Fabric.
• Drive data cataloguing, metadata management and lineage initiatives.
• Collaborate with senior stakeholders to understand strategic data requirements.
• Serve as go-to Data Architect for standards, practices and roadmap development.
