Job summary

Homes England is seeking an exceptional Chief Technology Officer to join the Digital leadership team and shape the future of technology across the organisation. You will set the technology vision, modernise the estate, strengthen cyber resilience and guide senior leaders on complex technology decisions.

You will lead Architecture, advise governance forums, and represent Homes England in central government technology communities.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of technology strategy, enterprise and technical architecture, cloud platforms, infrastructure, cyber security, service resilience and operational risk.
• Proven record of technology modernisation, legacy improvement and technical debt reduction.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills with technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Set and deliver Homes England's technology vision and strategic direction.
• Modernise and simplify the technology estate, improving resilience and reducing technical debt.
• Ensure systems and services are secure by design and resilient to cyber threats and disruption.
• Provide trusted technical advice to executives, governance forums and senior stakeholders.
• Lead Architecture and provide strategic direction to Cyber Security.
• Establish effective technology governance, assurance and decision-making.
• Enable emerging technologies where they offer demonstrable value.
• Develop technical capability and build strong relationships with suppliers, partners and government colleagues.
• Chair the Technology and Innovation Group, support the Technology Design Authority and represent Homes England on the central government CTO Council.
