Job summary

Homes England seeks a Chief Technology Officer to shape the technology future and lead the Digital leadership team. You will work with the Director of Digital to steer architecture, platforms and services in line with public service outcomes.

You will modernise the technology estate, strengthen cyber resilience and lead governance, with national impact across government technology communities.

Qualifications

• Significant senior experience in a large, complex organisation.
• ability to translate strategy into delivery and make decisions in ambiguity.
• Strong knowledge of technology strategy, architecture, cloud, cyber security and risk.

Responsibilities

• Set and deliver the technology vision and strategic direction for Homes England.
• Modernise the technology estate, improve resilience and reduce technical debt.
• Ensure secure by design systems and cyber threat resilience.
• Advise executives and governance forums on complex technology decisions.
• Lead Architecture and Strategic direction to Cyber Security.
• Establish technology governance, assurance and decision-making.
• Develop supplier relations and build capability across teams.
• Represent Homes England in central government technology communities.
