Strategic Credit Controller

Elevation Accountancy and Finance are excited to be working with a fantastic client of ours in the Worksop area as they look to recruit a Strategic Credit Controller into the team on a full-time, permanent basis.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Chasing customer payments in line with payment terms to minimize bad debt.
2. Handling all tier 2 interactions received into Credit Control, ensuring all requests are completed and successfully resolved within the agreed service level.
3. Looking for process improvement opportunities for service delivery.
4. Working to daily outbound phone targets set by the team leader.
5. Working on individual and Business Unit Overdue Debt reduction targets and Cash Collection.
6. Managing customer disputes to help minimize outstanding debt and escalating to the appropriate personnel.
7. Creating and categorizing outbound service requests.
8. Assisting with ongoing training for all staff in the Credit Control team, where required.
9. Serving as a first point of contact for guidance on issues outside standard processes.
10. Assisting the Team Leader with providing monthly reporting to the team.

Person Specification:

• Strong skills in MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint.
• Numerate and literate.
• Understanding of Finance systems.
• Good understanding of accounting systems and interactions of ledgers within Accounts Receivable.
• Experience dealing with debt management problems, such as non-payment of customer invoices requiring legal recourse.
• Experience managing complex customer credit portfolios is desirable.
• Experience working in a busy Customer Service/Finance environment.
