Job summary

Mitie, based near Chippenham, seeks a Corporate Communications Manager to lead internal communications and external PR within the MOD Lyneham contract. You will manage media activity, develop corporate messages and ensure policy compliance while coordinating with Defence and regional media partners.

The role requires senior-level communication skills, strong stakeholder engagement, and leadership to drive strategic communications across the organisation.

Qualifications

• Proven management experience with leadership skills.
• Strong media knowledge and relationship-building for PR.
• Excellent written and verbal communication at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Manage PR and media activity as the main contact for enquiries and publicity.
• Deliver corporate communications and ensure branding/communications policies are followed.
• Build relationships with Defence Media, MOD press officers and regional media.
• Support senior management with media briefs, interviews and meetings.
• Oversee the team, health, safety and welfare in line with policy.
