Job summary

The Howard Partnership Trust in Surrey is seeking a Chief Operating Officer to provide strategic leadership across finance, estates, HR services, IT, compliance and organisational development, ensuring robust systems and long-term sustainability.

The role reports to the CEO, working with the Executive Team and Trust Board to align operations with our educational mission, drive efficiency, risk management and capital projects, and foster a values-driven culture that supports student and staff

Responsibilities

• Lead and integrate core operational functions: finance, estates, HR services, IT, compliance, risk, governance operations and wider business services.
• Oversee estates strategy, compliance and major capital projects.
• Lead workforce planning, HR transformation and culture development across a diverse staff body.
• Ensure digital infrastructure is modern, secure and aligned with teaching and operational priorities.
• Drive organisational planning, risk management and change leadership in collaboration with school leaders.
• Support a values-driven culture to ensure children thrive and staff flourish.
