Job summary

Gen is seeking a Consumer Insights & Strategy Lead in London. This hybrid role (3 days in the office) sits at the intersection of strategy, customer insight and stakeholder leadership, guiding growth for Cyber Safety or Trust-based Solutions.

You’ll synthesize data from multiple sources to shape portfolio decisions, propositions and customer experiences, and partner with segment leadership to translate insights into action across Marketing, Product and Commercial teams.

Responsibilities

• Act as a trusted advisor to the Segment Lead / Brand Lead and their virtual leadership team on segment strategy, performance, customer base and competitive context.
• Frame and refine critical business questions for portfolio choices, proposition direction, target audiences and pricing/packaging.
• Bring a customer- and evidence-centered perspective into business planning, roadmap discussions and major investments.
• Represent the voice of the customer in key forums, challenging constructively and highlighting risks and opportunities.
• Synthesize evidence from multiple sources into clear strategic recommendations.
• Develop compelling "so what / now what" narratives, presentations and workshops to move from evidence to decision.
• Support stakeholders in evaluating strategic options and trade-offs for growth and customer experience.
• Ensure insight initiatives translate into tangible business actions with measurable outcomes.
• Define and maintain a prioritised learning roadmap for your area, aligned to opportunities, risks and decisions.
• Spot knowledge gaps and translate them into briefs and programmes of work.
• Act as a connector across functions, joining up signals into a unified view of customer needs and opportunities.
