Job summary

TipTopJob is seeking a Senior Buyer : Strategic Sourcing Specialist (Construction Procurement) based at Gaydon, UK, with travel to supplier and site locations as required.

You will drive strategic category plans, lead complex negotiations, and implement total cost of ownership approaches across the construction supply chain, delivering measurable cost savings and supplier performance improvements.

Qualifications

• CIPS qualification/accredited.
• Experience across full procurement cycle.
• Knowledge of construction procurement and contract forms (JCT, NEC, FIDIC).

Responsibilities

• Develop and drive strategic category plans aligned to procurement targets.
• Lead sourcing via Global Sourcing Process (GSP) with first-time-through results.
• Negotiate complex contracts across legal, finance, and governance requirements.
• Deliver sourcing projects using Total Cost of Ownership principles (TCO).
• Collaborate with Finance, Risk and Legal to improve contract management.
