Somerset Bridge Group is seeking a Compliance Business Partner to join our second-line Risk and Compliance function in Newcastle. You will provide practical, commercially aware guidance, embed compliance by design in business change, products and day-to-day operations, and support regulatory reporting.

The role requires strong FCA knowledge, conduct risk focus, and a collaborative approach to working with senior stakeholders. Hybrid working and a comprehensive benefits package are offered.

Qualifications

• Strong working knowledge of FCA regulation and conduct risk in UK general insurance.
• Ability to translate regulatory requirements into actionable guidance.
• Proven ability to manage diverse stakeholder relationships and influence at senior levels.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with clear, concise reporting.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage relationships with key business stakeholders.
• Provide compliant guidance and challenge where needed.
• Identify regulatory changes and assist in implementation by business areas.
• Support conduct risk identification and control implementation.
• Maintain strong regulatory reporting and relationships with authorities.
• Serve as subject-matter expert on UK General Insurance matters.
• Provide proactive training and guidance on compliance matters.
• Respond promptly to regulatory enquiries and data requests.
• Support compliant business change and design from a risk perspective.
• Deliver training and input for policies and procedures.
