Job summary

Teneo is looking for a high-calibre Consultant to join the Strategy and Communications team in Melbourne. You will provide top-notch research and insights to support advisory services across clients, including narrative development, financial communications, media relations, ESG and governance issues.

Key responsibilities include conducting desktop research, monitoring media, building media targets, creating client-ready content, supporting account teams, and contributing to new business

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, journalism, communications, public policy, finance or economics.
• 1-2 years' experience in corporate & financial communications, journalism, banking/financial services, management consulting or public policy is preferable.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Research and analysis: conduct desktop research and analysis to understand market, geopolitical or business trends; prepare reports with findings and insights for client advisory.
• Media monitoring: provide support on monitoring news and coverage relating to client activities or related fields of interest.
• Media landscape scanning: track current trends, news, and developments in the media landscape; build lists of media targets and journalists.
• Content development: contribute to creating compelling content for traditional media, digital and social channels; develop client-ready documents like presentations and reports.
• Account support: assist the wider account team in managing client relationships; update project trackers and materials; ensure client needs are met promptly.
• Financial communications & investor relations: research, ideation, messaging, content creation and copywriting; prepare client-ready documents like presentations, reports, earnings releases, Q&A.
• Supporting new business development: assist senior team members with proposals by researching and developing insights.
• Technology & AI-enabled working: embrace AI-enabled tools to enhance productivity and ensure high-quality client work.
