Job summary

Milltown Partners in the United Kingdom seeks mid-level to senior-level Consultants to shape strategic communications for technology, investment, and other influential clients. You will lead, synthesize complex topics for varied audiences, and drive client outcomes with cross-functional teams.

You will work with Claude, Gemini, and other AI tools to elevate insights, oversee junior staff, and contribute to business growth in a collaborative, inclusive culture that values curiosity and impact.

Qualifications

• 3–7 years of communications experience, ideally in a consultancy environment.
• Drive to go deep into unfamiliar territory and produce work grounded in real understanding.
• Strong written and editorial skills: clear, compelling, accurate without losing substance.
• Ability to get up to speed on technically unfamiliar territory quickly and do something useful.
• Experience building advisory relationships with senior stakeholders.
• Experience developing media strategies and working with journalists across tier-1 tech press and specialist outlets.
• Experience using AI tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini) effectively, safely, and critically.
• Project management experience: planning and delivering work against goals, timelines, budgets.
• Experience managing junior colleagues and delegating effectively.
• Intellectual curiosity to develop subject matter expertise and share knowledge with colleagues.
• Collaborative instincts and a commitment to an inclusive culture.
• Experience in frontier technology, AI or investor communications.
• Experience in research, policy, developer relations, or technical content.

• Shape communications strategy by translating complex technical subject matter into resonant narratives.
• Drive and deliver client work with clear plans, and delegate to junior colleagues as needed.
• Use AI tools regularly to improve quality and efficiency of outputs.
