Job summary

YASA Limited is seeking a Commodity Purchasing Lead to drive sourcing strategies for materials and fixtures supporting new product introduction and series production. You will lead a team, manage supplier partnerships, and ensure competitive total cost and robust supply chain resilience.

The role requires significant experience in strategic procurement within manufacturing, strong leadership, and ability to navigate NPI activities and cross-functional collaboration with manufacturing and finance.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering or equivalent; significant experience in strategic procurement within manufacturing or automotive.
• Proven leadership experience with team management and development.
• Experience in supplier relationship management and cross-functional collaboration.
• Strong analytical capability and data-driven decision making.
• Experience supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) and PPAP/APQP processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop the Commodity Purchasing team.
• Set objectives and priorities aligned with business strategy.
• Drive accountability and continuous improvement.
• Develop succession plans and build team capability.
• Lead strategic supplier relationships and conduct executive business reviews.
• Manage sourcing activities including RFQs and total cost of ownership.
• Lead negotiations covering inflation, indexation, logistics and currency exposure.
• Support NPI through sourcing timing, readiness and PPAP/launch support.
• Monitor and improve delivery performance, quality and capacity.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Finance, Logistics, and Legal.
