Job summary

Talent Drive | B Corp is seeking a Commodity Buyer for a hybrid role based in Bicester or Woking, with 3 days in the office and 2 days WFH. Salary ranges from £45k to £50k plus a discretionary bonus.

The role reports to the Purchasing Manager within a global automotive brand renowned for innovation and quality. You will develop commodity strategies, lead sourcing, negotiate production contracts and manage supplier relationships, balancing cost, quality and delivery while collaborating with

Qualifications

• Experience as a Buyer, Commodity Buyer or in procurement.
• Experience building commodity strategies and managing sourcing.
• Proven ability to negotiate contracts and manage suppliers.
• Understanding of total acquisition cost and cost breakdowns.
• Strong analytical skills for commercial opportunities and risks.
• Ability to influence Engineering, Quality and other teams.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• Degree in Business or Engineering is advantageous; MCIPS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead supplier negotiations and secure contracts across your commodity areas.
• Develop and implement sourcing strategies with Engineering and Supplier Quality.
• Drive cost reduction initiatives and challenge supplier cost increases.
• Manage supplier relationships and act as SRM lead.
• Evaluate supplier capability and make sourcing recommendations.
• Monitor supplier performance against programme targets and costs.
• Support risk assessments and broader commercial decision-making.
