We currently have an exciting new full-time opportunity for a Strategic Commissioning Manager - Social Care and Family Help to help ensure the delivery of the Council's Children's Services Sufficiency Strategy. Key to the role will be achieving our aims and objectives regarding Ealing's children living in homes where they can thrive.

This high profile, strategic leadership and management role, is a specialist one within Children's Services that requires a highly experienced children's social care professional with good knowledge of commissioning, procurement and the children looked after system; someone who can successfully engage with a range of stakeholders; from politicians, senior leaders, and partners (such as the ICB), to children and their families.

We are looking for a very proficient, skilled and knowledgeable children's social care manager with commissioning and procurement experience who has demonstrable detailed knowledge of the Children Looked After system, sufficiency and finding good homes for children. They will have excellent communication, leadership and management skills and be able to ensure the efficient, effective, best value, user focussed, high quality evidenced based commissioning of homes for children.

The successful candidate will be someone who shares our passion and vision and who embeds the voice of children, families and communities in all commissioning decisions where possible. Someone who takes a strategic, asset-based commissioning approach.

Salary and Benefits

Salary range: £72,840 - £77,664 per year
