Dorset Council is recruiting for a Strategic Commissioning Lead - Adults Independence (Mental Health, Learning Disability, Autism, Day & Community Services, Birth to Settled Adulthood, Carers & Brokerage). Following a good CQC inspection our commissioned services are in a strong position but we are ambitious to do better. With a stronger focus on prevention, enablement, community and All Age pathways we want to support the people who use our services to be more independent, to thrive and achieve positive outcomes. We have a strong innovative care market and good relationships, creating the foundations to be creative and deliver meaningful and tangible change in peoples lives.
You will be working with an established and experienced team, have the space to develop and reshape services alongside a supportive and enabling senior management team. Dorset is a great place to work, we have incredible towns, history, coastal gems but above all we have great people, across the whole Council we operate as one team with a focus on better outcomes for our residents.
You will be an experienced commissioner in this field of work, have demonstrable commercial acumen and an equally strong value base. You must have good legal knowledge, be committed to co-production, willing to test out new ideas and will be key in taking forward our approach to relational commissioning.
