Job summary

Babcock is seeking a Commercial Manager for its Rosyth site with hybrid working. You will lead commercial activities across UK and international opportunities within advanced engineering and shipbuilding, from early engagement to contract handover.

You will develop strategies, support bids, negotiate terms, and manage risks while coordinating with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders to deliver value.

Qualifications

• Commercial or contract management experience in a complex engineering, manufacturing, infrastructure or defence context.
• Strong grasp of commercial principles, risk management, and various commercial agreements.
• Experience supporting bids, tenders, negotiations or growth initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Develop commercial strategies for UK and international opportunities.
• Support bids from pre-sales through submission, negotiation and award.
• Review and negotiate contracts and commercial terms to secure outcomes.
• Identify, assess and mitigate commercial and contractual risks.
• Build strong relationships with customers, partners and stakeholders.
