Job summary

Morgan Sindall Construction & Infrastructure seeks an experienced commercial professional to lead the commercial aspects of the business area and individual projects. The role focuses on winning work, shaping commercial strategy and maximizing profitability through strong contract management.

The successful candidate will oversee risk management, monthly reporting, procurement, and the development of commercial teams, while maintaining compliance with industry standards and Morgan Sindall core

Qualifications

• Degree in quantity surveying or similar commercially related discipline required.
• RICS accreditation preferred.
• Experience with cost value reporting (CVR) and monthly reporting.
• Experience managing sub-contractors including procurement and final accounts.
• Proven ability to set up and manage direct labour, plant and materials on projects.

Responsibilities

• Actively source and win new work with appropriate bid strategies.
• Develop and agree commercial strategy to meet budgets and profitability.
• Manage commercial risk and opportunities across projects.
• Ensure adherence to commercial reporting procedures.
• Lead and develop commercial teams, provide guidance on contracts.
• Oversee monthly reporting, end life forecasting, and project reviews.
• Manage procurement in line with supply chain vision.
• Negotiate with customers on contractual matters and prepare sound business cases.
• Contribute to management reports and address legacy issues.
